How to save on a Grand Prix trip
Last updated: 2026-10-16
Facts below come from official organiser and transport pages, each listed with the date we checked it. Arrangements shown are the latest published (often for 2026); 2027 details may change. Anything we could not verify is marked as such.
What is the cheapest way to go to a Grand Prix?
Pick a race with a cheap official 3-day general admission ticket, travel by public transport or share a car, and stay outside the nearest town. Based on our data, Monza, Austria and Hungary currently have the lowest official general admission prices. Travel and accommodation often cost more than the ticket itself.

Which tickets give the best value?
General admission is the cheapest way in at most circuits, and 3-day passes usually cost little more than a single Sunday ticket. Our data shows this at Hungary and Austria. Unnumbered terraces, such as those listed at Monza, can be a cheaper seated alternative to numbered grandstands.

How can I save on getting to the circuit?
Use free or cheap official shuttles. The Red Bull Ring and the Hungaroring both ran free shuttles from nearby stations in 2026, parking at the Red Bull Ring is free, and as of 16 October 2026 Silverstone said booking Park & Ride before 31 March 2027 gets its cheapest advance prices.

How can I save on accommodation?
Book as early as possible and stay a little further out, in a town with a train or shuttle link to the circuit, such as Knittelfeld, Verviers, Milton Keynes or Sesto San Giovanni. Camping is the classic budget option at several circuits. We do not have verified accommodation prices.
